Services Beyond Snacks

Konbini offer a vast array of products and services that go far beyond snacks and junk food. You can find everything from insect repellent to pantyhose, and you can also pay bills, get concert tickets, ship gifts, and even fax important documents. The range of services offered by Japanese convenience stores far surpasses that of their American counterparts, such as Wal-Mart.

7-11: The King of Konbini (Convenience Store)

While there are numerous convenience store chains in Japan, 7-11 reigns supreme. Renowned in America for its Big Gulps and Slurpees, 7-11 in Japan boasts an extensive selection of products and snacks. With tens of thousands of locations, you can find a 7-11 almost anywhere in Japan.
